The electronic system replaces the paper forms throughout the nation and will enable the agencies involved in the process of petitioning for refuge, such as the Federal Police (PF) and the National Committee for Refugees (CONARE), to have faster access to an applicant’s case.

Refuge

Refuge is a legal protection offered by Brazil to foreign citizens who leave their countries of origin for reasons of political or religious persecution or for violations of human rights.

In order to apply for refuge in Brazil, it will be necessary to register in the system. After that, the applicant will receive an e-mail to define the access password and will be able to fill out the form of the request for refuge. A date will also be set to appear before the Federal Police for the submission of documents.

People who have already been accepted as refugees can use SISCONARE to update their personal information.
