RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – President Jair Bolsonaro said Thursday that the pandemic emergency aid provided by the federal government to those vulnerable due to the Covid-19 pandemic can be extended for another two or three months after August, when the benefit currently provided will end.
“Another two, three months,” Bolsonaro said when answering a question about the possible renewal of the aid during his weekly live social media broadcast. The aid currently paid by the government ranges from R$150 to R$375 (US$30 to US$75).
