“Peaceful demonstrations, in the form of the law, are part of democracy”, stated Bolsonaro in a tweet published on Sunday the 8th. Bolsonaro is in the United States.

Ahead, Bolsonaro recalls that he always played “within the four lines of the Constitution” when he governed Brazil, “respecting and defending the laws, democracy, transparency and our sacred freedom”.

“Moreover, I repudiate the accusations, without evidence, attributed to me by the current head of the executive of Brazil”, said Bolsonaro, in allusion to President Lula da Silva, who blamed him for the demonstration in Brasília.

Yesterday afternoon, demonstrators occupied the National Congress, the Planalto Palace, and the Palace of Justice, the seat of the Judiciary.

Videos circulating on the internet show scenes of vandalism and depredation of public property.

After the act, President Lula da Silva determined federal intervention in the Federal District (DF).

Justice Alexandre de Moraes of the Federal Supreme Court also established the removal of the governor of the DF, Ibaneis Rocha.
