Brazil’s Dilma Rousseff to head Brics Bank and bring Lula government even closer to China’s communist regime

Appointed by Lula da Silva (PT, progressive-globalist) to head the Bank of the Brics, the former president and close ally and friend of the current president, removed from government for tax fraud, Dilma Rousseff (PT), will receive a monthly salary of R$ 290 (US$55) thousand.

Brics is made up of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa.

The bank that serves the interests of the bloc is responsible for managing the financing of works and projects carried out in member countries.

Rousseff’s main objective as president of the bank will be to bring the PT government even closer to China’s communist regime.

Before Lula’s appointment, Rousseff was even considered for a post at the Portuguese embassy.

The expectation is that the appointment will be made official this February.

Her predecessor, Marcos Troyjo, is expected to take up a post in the São Paulo state government, under Governor Tarcísio de Freitas.

Troyjo was an appointment by former president Jair Bolsonaro to the presidency of the Brics Bank.

lthough Troyjo’s mandate is valid until 2025, he must resign from the post.

Founded in 2014, the bank has set as its strategy for the period between 2022 and 2026: “Increasing Development Finance for a Sustainable Future”.

“To fulfil our purpose, we support projects in the public and private sectors through loans, equity investments and other tailored instruments,” the bank says.

The institution’s areas of operation are divided into:

Clean Energy and Energy Efficiency
Transport Infrastructure
Water and sanitation
Environmental protection
Social infrastructure
and Digital Infrastructure
