Brazil registers 15,930 new cases and 672 Covid deaths (September 10)

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – On Friday, Brazil reported 672 new deaths from Covid-19, bringing the total number of fatalities from the disease in the country to 585,846, the Health Ministry said.

There were also 15,930 new coronavirus cases, with the total number of infections in the country advancing to 20,974,829, the folder added.

The federal government still reports 372,843 Covid-19 patients in follow-up.

According to Statista, the leading German company specializing in market and consumer data, Brazil ranks eight in Latin America for deaths per million in the last seven days. It is better positioned than Cuba, Mexico, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Honduras, Paraguay, and Argentina. Worldwide, it ranks 37th.
