RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – The Ramon Villeda Morales International Airport in northern Honduras resumed operations on Wednesday, November 30th, in the wake of back-to-back hurricanes Iota and Eta in November, said Leo Castellon, president of the Superintendence of Public-Private Partnerships.
Two daily flights, one by American Airlines and the other by United Airlines, are expected to operate normally, Castellon said.
Intense work to clear the airport of mud and debris, and rebuild parts affected by the storms, has been completed last week after almost a month.
