“We are doing what we can, with fewer resources, no embezzlement, no corruption, no Lava Jato”, he said when mentioning investments in the region of Foz do Iguaçu (PR). “In my government there is no Lava Jato, if we have to face it, we will see what is wrong and we will take action. But, so far we have been no trouble for Lava Jato,” declared the President.

The argument that the government is free of corruption cases is repeated in the President’s speeches. In October, he began to point out that Operation Lava Jato was over since his administration would be free of corruption. In other statements, Bolsonaro stressed that his government is made up only of “Ministers, State and official banks” and considered that the anti-corruption operation would continue for “other bodies in Brazil, States and municipalities.”
