Bus Accident in Espírito Santo State Kills Four People

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – An accident with a travel bus left four people dead, among them two children, on Saturday afternoon, November 2nd. The vehicle departed from Belo Horizonte, capital of Minas Gerais, and overturned between the cities of Cachoeiro de Itapemirim and Vargem Alta, in Espírito Santo State.

According to the Fire Department, 13 other people were injured and were rushed to the Francisco de Assis Children’s Hospital – one of them is in critical condition in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). As it is far from the two cities, many victims were rescued by private vehicles that were passing through the area.

According to the firefighters, the bus left the capital of Minas Gerais State and went on an excursion to the coast of Espírito Santo State. The accident occurred around 1 PM.
