RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – A man invaded the stage during a performance of singer Nando Reis, in the city of Mossoró (Rio Grande do Norte). Initially, the audience believed that it was attempted aggression. However, the daughter of the person who went on stage came to the team of Nando Reis to say that the man just wanted to give a hug to the artist.
Reports from the concert audience reported that the mixup happened after the singer made indirect criticism of President Jair Bolsonaro.
At the show, the singer spoke of his concern about the fires in the Amazon and made a joke about the fact that Deputy Eduardo Bolsonaro, the third son of the president Jair Bolsonaro, fried hamburgers as an exchange student in the United States and said that was one of the reasons why he is the ideal candidate to be the future Brazilian Ambassador to the United States.
The performance continued after the man was removed from the stage by security guards.
