The warrants were issued by the Federal Supreme Court (STF).

The Court ordered the blocking of property, assets, and values of the investigated until the limit of R$40 million to compensate for the damage caused to the public patrimony.

Those involved will be investigated for violent abolition of the democratic rule of law, coup d’état, aggravated damage, criminal association, incitement to crime, destruction, and deterioration or destruction of a specially protected property.

On January 8, 2023, hundreds of protesters invaded the headquarters of the National Congress, the STF, and the Planalto Palace, promoting violence and widespread damage to objects and the buildings of the institutions.

According to the Federal Police, investigations are ongoing, and the operation will continue with periodic updates on the number of warrants issued, people arrested, and fugitives from justice.
