“We want Brics Bank bigger than the World Bank,” says Lula

By Marina Ferraz and Fernanda Bassi

President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) said on Wednesday (April 26) that Brazil wants “the Brics Bank to become a major investment bank.

If possible, bigger than the World Bank”.

The Brazilian Chief Executive also defended again the creation of a negotiation currency among South American countries and another among the members of Brics.

Lula met the Spanish Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez, at the Moncloa Palace.

They signed three agreements and discussed the Mercosur-EU Act and peace in Ukraine.
