Israel Steps Up Military Actions in Gaza

Daniel Hagari, a spokesperson for Israel’s Defense Forces IDF, stated on Friday that Israel is ramping up its military operations in Gaza.

The ongoing battle with Hamas has so far claimed 8,536 lives and injured 24,706 people. However, Hagari didn’t say when these increased attacks would happen.

At the same time, Israel launched airstrikes in Gaza, disrupting internet service. Paltel, a Palestinian telecom company, confirmed that the heavy bombing cut off Gaza’s internet.

Local residents told CNN that these were the most severe airstrikes since Israel began counter-attacks on October 7.

Just last Thursday, Israel also carried out a ground operation in Gaza. According to the military, they targeted Hamas infrastructure and anti-tank missile sites.

On social media, Israel’s Defense Forces said this operation is preparing for more combat. They aim to eliminate Hamas, according to their statement.

Background

This conflict between Israel and Hamas is not new; it has a long and complex history. Previous attempts to stop the fighting have not lasted, showing the depth of the issue.

Countries around the world are responding differently, with some urging calm and others taking sides. Their involvement could change the course of the conflict, for better or worse.

There are also serious concerns about the loss of human life. Both sides are suffering, but Israel has more military power.

Global powers like the United States and European countries are also involved. Their decisions could either help solve the conflict or make it worse.
