SÃO PAULO, BRAZIL – The Zoopark in Itatiba, a municipality located between São Paulo capital and Campinas, has inaugurated the largest museum of natural history in Latin America, entitled “Viagem pela Evolução e Biodiversidade do Mundo”, which is now open for visitation and tells the story of adaptation of animals and humans on planet Earth.
According to the advisory, Zooparque has a partnership with the “Evolutionsmuseum Schmiding”, located in Krenglbach, Austria.
According to the Zoo, this partnership led to the interest in encouraging education through a museum in the interior of the state of São Paulo, raising awareness of the environment among the population.
The museum covers 2,400 m² and is the first in the country in its category. The press release for the venue also reported that all attractions are self-guided and feature informational displays in each section. Visits are available daily from 9 AM to 4:30 PM.
