The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) of Russia and the Supreme Electoral Council of Nicaragua signed a mutual collaboration protocol, reported the CEC.
“The heads of the Russian CEC and the Nicaraguan Supreme Electoral Council have signed a cooperation protocol,” he published on his Telegram channel.
The CEC recalled that “Nicaraguan representatives attended the 2018 Russian presidential elections and the 2021 State Duma [Lower House of Parliament] elections as international observers.”
“For many years we have been sharing our experience for the improvement of the electoral process, and we really appreciate our cooperation,” said the president of the CEC, Ela Pamfílova, quoted in the note.
