RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – President Biden came under fire for establishing a “dystopian” disinformation office under his Department of Homeland Security. The appointment to the leadership post is explosive.
The move has met with massive resistance, particularly from conservatives in the United States, who see freedom of expression in jeopardy.

U.S. President Joe Biden and his left-wing administration have once again drawn the displeasure of conservatives. This is the new disinformation office, which is already being compared to the Ministry of Truth in George Orwell’s “1984.”

The political left in the United States arguably believes the timing is suitable, as Elon Musk has vowed to make Twitter a place of free speech following his US$44 billion acquisition of the social media platform, which is notorious for selective censorship of conservative patriotic, and right-wing viewpoints.
“Unpleasant,” the South African billionaire wrote on Twitter in response to a tweet by conservative commentator Steven Crowder, who compared the newly formed board to Nazi Germany.

Several Republican politicians also sharply criticized the new office. There is talk of “disgrace” and “dystopia,” which is also against the Constitution. Andrew Clyde, congressman from Georgia, wrote: “Biden’s dystopian disinformation governance board is very dangerous and completely unconstitutional. I call on Congress to investigate the DHS Department of Truth.”

But that is far from the end of the story. Biden’s choice of personnel to head the new “Department of Truth” raises questions. After all, Nina Jankowicz, who has been given the top post, is considered a disseminator of disinformation and Fake News.
After all, she has always described the story about Hunter Biden’s “laptop from hell” as Russian propaganda and has virtually come to the defense of the son of the US president. This has now apparently been honored by Biden.

Since the Biden administration, together with the governments of fifty other countries, published a Declaration for the Future of the Internet, which is directed against the policies of “authoritarian” governments and aims to reduce the spread of “disinformation” and “harassment,” it also becomes clear that freedom of opinion and diversity of view on the Internet, in general, are to be put to the sword.
It should not be forgotten that George Orwell’s visionary book “1984” is increasingly being targeted by left-wing censors in universities, who do not want to expose the “snowflakes” among the students to the brutal truth about manipulation by politics and the media.
