‘Demonizing Russia while justifying US-led wars’, Russian view on Western journalism

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – The Western world has banned news outlets close to the Russian state so that their people cannot see and hear what Russia has to say about the war in Ukraine.

“The state-owned Russia Today and Sputnik, and their subsidiaries, will no longer be able to spread their lies to justify Putin’s war,” European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said in a statement. “We are developing tools to ban their toxic and harmful disinformation in Europe.”

This is about the same as if in a grand jury trial you are only allowed to hear the prosecution’s arguments and not those of the defense, and then you are supposed to form an opinion based on the one-sided information available.

This is not what a fair court hearing looks like. What has happened to the West?

One may witness the harsh difference between the rhetoric of Western media about hostilities in Ukraine and that of their coverage of conflicts in which their countries are involved. Russian RT News highlights the ‘narratives’.
