Sâo Paulo governor announces 300-bed field hospital on Navy ship to serve natural disaster victims

The governor of São Paulo, Tarcisio Gomes de Freitas, announced today a field hospital with 300 beds to serve the victims of the rain that hit cities on the northern coast of São Paulo.

The hospital will start operating on Thursday, Feb. 23r. According to Freitas; the hospital will work on a Navy ship.

"There will be 21 health professionals from various specialties, orthopedics, traumatology, general practice, psychiatrists," said the governor. "

"So, we can do this medical care freeing up hospital capacity."

According to Tarcisio, the service at the Navy field hospital will relieve the local public health . . .
