RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – A case of violence against a female dog sparked outrage in the residents of the Pantanal neighborhood, in Duque de Caxias near Rio de Janeiro.
A man broke into a house in the region and caught a pregnant dog, raped it and then beat the animal to death.
According to newspaper “Extra”, the man trespassed Aline Neves’ backyard and grabbed the animal, which was named “Vaca”.
Terrified, the woman asked her ten-year-old son to call for help. When she returned with her uncle, Valmir Neves, the assailant was sitting next to the dead animal. When questioned, the man said that he had come into the backyard to use drugs.
“Soon after he killed Vaca, he went into an outdoor toilet in the backyard, washed his hands and sat outside. When my brother arrived, the guy said “I just came in here to smoke marijuana,” Aline said. “I couldn’t sleep after that.”
According to Aline, the man ran away when they tried to take him to the police station. The neighborhood residents are outraged and the woman added that he is known in the region for sexually abusing horses and mares.
The case was reported in the Campos Elíseos police station. The Civil Police has not commented on the case.
