RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Felipe Neto was the second most-watched YouTuber in the world this year, according to a ranking released on Thursday, December 5th, by Youtube during the YouTube Rewind video series, which recalls the contents that had more notoriety in the year.
First place went to Swedish PewDie Pie.
He is the only Brazilian on the list of the top 10 content creators on the planet and the only Portuguese speaker on the list – all nine others use English in their videos.
Felipe’s channel, which celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2020, accounted for 3.5 billion views in 2019.
This year the Youtuber also became the target of attacks by Bolsonarians for buying and distributing 14,000 copies of LGBT+-themed books at the Rio de Janeiro Book Biennial following Crivella’s city government censorship attempt.
