A Success in Tokyo, London, and Toronto, KitKat Store Reaches São Paulo

SÃO PAULO, BRAZIL – A success in Tokyo, London, and Toronto, KitKat Chocolatory now reaches São Paulo, at Shopping Mall Morumbi. It is not just another store. It is the first flagship in Latin America. In addition to the classics of the chocolate covered wafer brand, it will be possible for the consumer to create their own KitKat.

The store, which is expected to open next Tuesday, October 8th, is fully interactive. It is possible to choose the filling, try eighteen flavors (pistachio, mint, banana, guava, and churros are some of the new features) and print your own photo in what they call KitKat four fingers – medium version with four wafers -, made from natural and edible colorants.

It also has games, virtual reality (VR) games, augmented reality and a partnership with Nespresso, which offers coffee lines that blend with chocolates. While the store is not inaugurated, the consumer can have a brief experience in the Chocolatory pop-up store, in the same shopping mall.

Although it was only launched in Brazil in January 2012, KitKat is an old brand. It was launched on the market by Rowntrees in 1935 in England and since 1999 it has belonged to the Swiss company Nestlé. After that, numerous innovations such as KitKat White, Dark, Ruby, Lemon, Rasperry, Chuncky, and even Easter eggs were introduced. In the United States, it is produced by Hershey’s.
