Ecuador: Lasso would run for re-election

The president of Ecuador, Guillermo Lasso, has left the door open this Tuesday to a possible candidacy for the next elections to be held in the Latin American country in 2025.

“The Constitution of Ecuador allows re-election only once. The Ecuadorian president has highlighted that he won the last elections against “a populist model that has been characterized by penetrating power,” adding that democracy has finally returned, regardless of powers, to the country.
