Trem do Samba with Marquinhos de Oswaldo Cruz (online) – Today, Brazil celebrates the National Day of Samba.

In Rio, every December 2, the samba community pays homage to the most Brazilian of all music genres with “Trem do Samba”, a traditional event aimed at gathering as many musicians and fans as possible to play samba inside Rio’s Supervia trains.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, this year’s edition will happen virtually. Hosted by the musician Marquinhos de Oswaldo Cruz, the samba event will be livestreamed on Youtube and starts at 7 PM.

LIVE EVENT – SÃO PAULO:
Fundo de Quintal (Mooca) – As Brazil celebrates the National Day of Samba this Wednesday, December 2, the pagode group Fundo de Quintal will perform live at Bar Templo.

Standing among the very founders of pagode music in Brazil, Fundo de Quintal will get started at 6 PM. Amid rising Covid-19 numbers in São Paulo, Bar Templo will work with limited capacity and follow the WHO recommendations.

LIVE EVENT – SÃO PAULO:
Karaokê at Tokyo (República) – One of the most hyped karaoke nights in São Paulo, Tokyo’s famous Wednesday’s karaoke nights are back.

This week, Tokyo’s karaoke will be dedicated to pop-rock music from the 1990s. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the venue will work with limited capacity.
