Coronavirus Quarantine: The Online Nightlife Guide for Monday, June 29, 2020

With Brazil stepping up precautionary measures against COVID 19, the entertainment sector in Rio and São Paulo has suspended its activities for an undetermined period of time.

ONLINE FESTIVAL:
São João de Todos (online) – Aimed at honoring the São João festivities, so typical in Northeastern Brazil, the São João de Todos festival invites artists from the region to play the best of forró.

The attractions will be group Cavalo de Pau, which will open the event at 7 PM, and Limão com Mel (photo), which performs at 9 PM.

Big Up (online) – Radio Mix FM invites the reggae trio Big Up to perform this Monday on the radio’s Instagram page.

The live session will happen at 4 PM.

ONLINE FESTIVAL:
Em Casa com Sesc (online) – Sesc has recently launched the Em Casa Com Sesc (At home with Sesc) festival, which presents a different Brazilian musician every day, at 7 PM.

The artists will always perform live on Sesc’s Instagram page. Starring at Sesc’s Festival tonight will be the instrumentalist Arismar do Espírito Santo.

ONLINE FESTIVAL:
Forró Caju (online) – Organized by Aracaju’s City Hall, the Forró Caju Festival will bring the best of traditional forró music to your home tonight.

Starting at 9 PM, the festival will present the great local artists, including Albertio Silveira (photo), Trio Piauí, Correia dos 8 baixos, Chiquinho do Além Mar, Jailson do Acordeonn and Valter Nogueira.

ONLINE SHOW:
Samba do Trabalhador (online) – Samba do Trabalhador, the traditional “roda de samba” from Rio’s Zona Norte, will be enlightening this Monday with their usual live performance on Instagram.

Opening the “roda” will be composer Moacyr Luz at 5 PM, followed by Alexandre Marmita, Gabriel da Muda, Mingo Silva, and Nego Álvaro, the last to perform, closing the samba at 8 PM.

Each artist will broadcast his performance on his own Instagram account.
