Ratinho Junior said that the estimate is based on the Ministry of Health’s schedule in delivering the doses to the state.

The government of Paraná has not announced any schedule by age for the estimate to be met. The full schedule with the expected vaccination, according to the state, will be released throughout the week.

On Friday, June 11, the government announced the beginning of vaccination for people over 40 years of age in the general population. However, the increase of groups served in each city depends on the decisions of city halls, based on the number of available doses.

According to State Health Secretariat (SESA) data, by Monday afternoon, 3,239,009 Paraná residents had been vaccinated, and 1,280,839 of them had been administered the second vaccine dose.

In total, 4,519,848 doses have been administered in the state, according to the Secretariat’s data. Paraná had received 6,075,960 vaccine doses from the National Immunization Plan by Monday.
