More than 1,000 cities in Brazil have difficulty in oxygen supply

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – More than 1,000 Brazilian cities reported facing difficulties with oxygen supply in at least one health unit in the next ten days, according to a survey by the National Council of Municipal Health Secretaries (Conasems), in which nearly 2,500 municipalities participated.

Brazil registered on Wednesday 3,829 new deaths due to covid-19, which brings the total number of fatal victims of the disease in the country to 340,776, according to the Ministry of Health.

The mark comes one day after the daily count surpassed 4,000 deaths for the first time since the pandemic began.
