Covid-19: Brazil Records 165,000 Deaths and 5.84 Million Cases (November 14th)

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – The number of people infected with the novel coronavirus in Brazil during the pandemic is close to 5.85 million. In the past 24 hours, health authorities have reported 38,307 new positive diagnoses for Covid-19, totaling 5,848,959.

Also according to the Ministry of Health’s update, deaths by Covid-19 reached 165,658. Over the past 24 hours, 921 deaths were recorded. There are a further 2,388 deaths under investigation, but this figure still refers to last Thursday, November 12th.

The balance was released by the Ministry of Health on Saturday night, November 14th. According to the portfolio, the updating challenges this week are due to a problem in the computerized systems that could be a cyber attack.

The balance also noted 391,790 patients under follow-up. Another 5,291,511 have already recovered from the disease.

Covid-19 in the states

The states with the highest number of deaths are São Paulo (40,459), Rio de Janeiro (21,284), Minas Gerais (9,504), Ceará (9,439), and Pernambuco (8,815).

The states with the fewest cases are Roraima (706), Acre (708), Amapá (777), Tocantins (1,133), and Rondônia (1,501).
