RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Bahia governor Rui Costa (PT-BA) predicts that "healthcare will collapse and Brazil will plunge into chaos in two weeks." He made the statement on Thursday, February 25th, after announcing the suspension of all non-essential activities in the state over the weekend in an attempt to contain the spread of the novel coronavirus.
"We are now watching the problem getting worse all over the country. In Rio Grande do Sul, in Bahia, in Ceará. We have never had a situation like this," he says.
