RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – On Friday night, August 21st, Curitiba recorded snow in the area of Tatuquara, in the southern region of the capital of Paraná state.

Along with snow, there was a record of freezing rain in the Uberaba and Jardim das Américas neighborhoods. The snowfall was confirmed by the Paraná Technology and Environmental Monitoring System (SIMEPAR). In addition to Curitiba, the region of Morro do Araçatuba, in Tijucas do Sul, also recorded the occurrence of snowfall. It was on Friday morning, according to information from SOMAR Meteorology.
