Brazil Records 12 State Capitals in Emergency Status Due to Coronavirus

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Of the 27 capitals in Brazil, 12 are already in an emergency situation, due to the number of coronavirus infections on the total population of each of these capitals. Today, the national scenario points to an average incidence of 111 infections for every one million inhabitants.

The Ministry of Health has alerted to the need to maintain social isolation, particularly in the most critical cities, as a means to prevent the collapse of the health system and ensure care for patients who need medical assistance.
