RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – The first confirmed patient with coronavirus in Brazil is cured. He was confirmed with the disease by the Ministry of Health on February 25th.
The 61-year-old man who returned from Italy no longer has the virus.
The information was disclosed firsthand by the São Paulo State Health Secretary, Luiz Henrique German, during a meeting with Governor João Dória to journalist Pedro Campos of Rádio Bandeirantes yesterday.
Both announced the fact in a press conference at the Bandeirantes Palace.
The man, who lives in the capital, contracted the virus during a trip to Italy and had the infection confirmed on Carnival Tuesday.
