Pabllo Vittar Rules the Carnaval Musical Hit Parades

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – The official start of Carnival is only a few days away and the expectation of knowing which hit will rule the ‘bloquinho‘ (little block), the party or even the home celebration is only increasing.

Less and less monopolized by traditional genres such as ‘axé’ and ‘marchinhas’, the country’s major popular festival this year combines rhythms such as ‘sertanejo’, pop and Rio funk derivations such as ‘bregafunk’ and ‘150 bpm’.

This is what the searches of users of the three main streaming platforms, Spotify, Deezer, and YouTube Music show. In the beats section, the statistics highlight the track “Tudo Ok”, a partnership between Thiaguinho MT, Mila, and JS o Mão de Ouro about overcoming a broken relationship. The chorus “brota no bailão pro desespero do seu ex”, has already turned into a t-shirt and cap print around here.

In the same vein come “Vem me Satisfazer”, a track by MC Ingryd released in August last year, which came to life again after the release of a remix by DJ Pernambuco and MC Elvis, with a video clip by Kondzilla. Another highlight on the most listened to is the melodic “Sentadão”, by revelation Pedro Sampaio.

But Carnaval 2020 won’t be only about funk. Pabllo Vittar‘s pop rules the rankings with songs that travel between saxophone solos like “Amor de Que” and “Parabéns”. The drag queen is the only Brazilian music star that is featured in all the most played music lists on streaming platforms.

Those who don’t want to choose between funk and pop can keep the most hybrid releases. Also among the most listened to is “Combatchy” and its “tururum tururum” was the outcome of blending the sound of Anitta, Rebecca, Luíza Sonza, and the beat of Lexa.

Meanwhile, “Verdinha”, which expresses Ludmilla’s funky (and legalized) vein, was not left behind and should be played often during the days of revelry. Responsible for “Bola Rebola,” the most played track of last year’s Carnaval, Anitta repeats her partnership with Tropkillaz, now also with MC Lan and Major Lazer, to produce “Rave de Favela,”.

And those who really enjoy suffering are not left out. You have “modão” to choose from. In the top positions, “Liberdade Provisória”, by Henrique & Juliano, “A Gente Fez Amor”, by Gusttavo Lima and “Com ou Sem Mim”, by Gustavo Mioto promise to be present in the blocks and theme parties or even in those moments when the DJ wants to calm the people down.
