The president of the Superior Electoral Court (TSE), Alexandre de Moraes, granted Lula da Silva's request and scheduled his inauguration, and that of the vice-president-elect, Geraldo Alckmin, for Dec. 12.
The TSE released the information on Tuesday night (Nov. 29).
The event was scheduled for 2 pm at the court headquarters in Brasilia.
Until then, the president of the TSE had scheduled the inauguration of Lula da Silva and Alckmin for Dec. 19, the last day of the deadline provided by electoral legislation.
