The virtual job show occurs between October 19th and November 6th. The requirements to apply for the positions are: full or senior profile (minimum three years experience), fluency in English and/or French and a strong motivation to live in Canada. There is no age limit for applicants.

Montreal is considered one of the world’s innovation centers and is home to more than 179,000 technology professionals working in the field. Their annual salary is on average approximately R$403,000 (US$75,000).

In the gaming area, the city hosts 140 studios that sign famous games such as Assassin’s Creed Origins and Batman Origins. The annual salaries for specialists in the area range from R$336,000 to R$456,000.

Cyrielle Bonola, the agency’s international talent attraction advisor, explains that the companies will be responsible for the applicants’ immigration process, with assistance in obtaining work visas. According to her, Brazilians stand out in the international market for their work culture and innovative mentality very close to that of Canadians.

“Since Portuguese is a Latin language, it makes it easier to learn French and better integrate into Québec society,” she comments.

There will be opportunities for the following companies: Backend (.Net / Java) Developer, PHP Developer, Fullstack or Frontend (Javascript), SAP Developer or Analyst, Gaming Programmer (C / C# / Gameplay), Gaming Artist, QA, BI Developer or Analyst, Scrum Master, Data (Developer/Scientist/Administrator/Analyst), DevOps, Architect and Cyber Security Specialist.

The advisor explains that the pandemic has prompted the Canadian government to impose travel restrictions, but that foreign nationals with work permits may enter the country.

“Despite the pandemic, high-tech companies are thriving in Montreal and the need for skilled workers is high. Consequently, foreign professionals can still apply for work permits over the Internet. The departments involved continue to analyze these applications, although some delays may be expected,” she says.
