RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Cab fares in São Paulo will be increased starting this Saturday (2). The new prices were approved by the Executive Secretariat of Transport and Urban Mobility (Senatram) and the Department of Public Transportation (DTP) of City Hall.
For ordinary cabs, radio cabs, black cabs, and special cabs, the fare (initial value of the race) increases from R$4.50 to R$5.50 (US$.95 to US$1.15), the kilometer fare (value per kilometer traveled) increases from R$2.75 to R$4.00, and the hourly fare (when the car stops or travels . . .
