Brazil Reports 13 Confirmed Cases of New Coronavirus

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – On Friday, March 6th, the Ministry of Health released the most recent report on the new coronavirus (Sars-Cov-2) in Brazil. The main data in the report point out:

Thirteen confirmed cases, there were 8 cases in the balance of Thursday.
Four states have cases: São Paulo (ten), Rio de Janeiro (one), Espírito Santo (one) and Bahia (one); one case in the Federal District is waiting for further testing.

768 suspected cases, there were 635 in the previous report

Since the start of monitoring, 480 cases have been ruled out.

The increase in the number of cases between Thursday and Friday is centered in São Paulo. In the previous report, the state had six cases. Among them, four classified as imported and another two as local transmission cases.
