Brazil is among the top 3 producers of animal feed in the world

Brazil is the third largest producer of animal feed in the world.

The mark appears in the report Perspectives of the Agrifood Sector 2023.

The document is from Alltech, a market giant.

The data shows Brazil produced almost 82 million tonnes of animal feed in 2022.

Thus, the result represents a growth close to 1% over the previous year.

In expansion highlighted respectively, the products intended for poultry for egg production (4%), beef cattle (3%), and chicken fattening.

The survey also predicts that the sector will continue to expand in 2023.

Worldwide, Alltech estimates that manufacturing is distributed in about 28,000 plants.

These are distributed in 148 countries and produced 1.3 billion tonnes of this product last year.

China concentrated on the largest quantity: around 260 million tonnes.

Next in line is the United States: 240 million tonnes.

The top ten global suppliers include India, Mexico, Russia, Spain, Vietnam, Argentina, and Germany.

Together, these nations control around 800 million tonnes.

Thus, according to Alltec’s estimates, these ten countries control 65% of the entire global supply of the product.

In the case of Brazil, the share is close to 7% of the global animal feed production.
