RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Avianca announced that after the authorization of the Colombian government, it will resume operations on the São Paulo-Bogota-São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro-Bogota-Rio de Janeiro routes as of July 2. According to the company, passengers who already had Avianca tickets can rebook their flights.
The flights will be operated on Airbus 320-neo aircraft, with a capacity for 150 passengers, and travelers from Brazil can access the connection center in Bogotá to more than 24 destinations in Colombia and more than 20 international destinations.
“Brazil is a highly important market for Avianca. We are pleased to resume our regular direct flights from São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro to Bogotá to continue connecting the world with Latin America,” said David Alemán, Avianca’s director for Central and South America.
