In the team of giants of Brazilian agribusiness, the Aurora Cooperative will invoice R$22 billion in 2022.
The result represents a 13% growth over the previous year’s revenue. The company is one of the largest in the food business in the country.
The foods processed by the company are mainly made from poultry and pork raw materials.
Operating on several agribusiness fronts, the cooperative’s mix includes dairy products, pasta, bread, fish, and semi-ready meals.
The company controls three brands: Aurora, Nobre, and Peperi.
Sales to Brazilian consumers generated R$14 billion in revenues for the company last year; around 65% of all revenue came from the domestic market.
Even so, the Aurora Cooperative has expressive numbers related to exports.
Currently, it is one of the biggest meat exporters in Brazil. Last year, the slaughtering reached 7 million pigs and almost 300 million chickens.
In addition, the dairy division processed 500 million liters of milk.
This volume supplies Aurora’s eight product lines: milk beverage, UHT milk, powdered milk, powdered whey, cream cheese, cheese bars, sliced cheese, and cottage cheese.
The production chain counts on thousands of suppliers.
Among them: are just over 3,000 milk producers, 2,000 poultry farmers, and 3,000 pig farmers.
The company employs 40,000 workers and pays R$2.5 billion (US$ 490 million) annually in salaries.
A giant in agribusiness, Aurora Cooperative has direct and indirect operations spread over 700 different Brazilian municipalities.
