São Paulo anniversary: see what’s open and closed this Wednesday

This Wednesday (25), the city of São Paulo completes 469 years. As a result, some municipal and state public services will operate under a special scheme.

Bank agencies will not work this Wednesday (25). According to the Brazilian Federation of Banks (Febraban), the self-service areas will be available to customers, as well as the banks’ digital and remote channels (internet and mobile banking).

Part of the São Paulo City Hall services will operate on the city’s anniversary holiday this Wednesday (25) and others will be closed.

The Health area will maintain vaccination in Outpatient Medical Assistance (AMAs)/Integrated Basic Health Units (UBSs). The Municipal Vehicle Rotation will be suspended for cars and trucks throughout Wednesday.

In Education, the Unified Educational Centers (CEUs) will be open from 8 am to 6 pm.

Subprefecture service squares will be closed. Natural and urban municipal parks will operate normally.

HEALTH

This holiday, Outpatient Medical Assistance (AMAs)/Basic Health Units (UBSs) Integrated will operate normally from 7 am to 7 pm, with the continuity of vaccination campaigns against Covid-19, polio and multivaccination.

Immunization against Covid-19 is available for children from six months to 2 years, 11 months and 29 days with comorbidities, permanent disability, immunosuppressed and indigenous people, in addition to children from 3 years old, adolescents and adults.

For the first additional dose (DA1), people over 12 years old who took the last dose of the vaccination schedule at least four months ago are eligible.

The second additional dose (DA2) of the vaccine is available for the entire population over 18 years of age who received AD1 at least four months ago, while the third additional dose (DA3) is available for people with a high degree of immunosuppression, over 18 years old.

The polio vaccination campaign has been extended indefinitely.

Aimed at children from one year to 4 years and 11 months old, the action aims to immunize all children in this age group with oral immunization against the disease.

In the multivaccination campaign, aimed at people up to 15 years of age, in addition to the polio vaccine, immunizations are available such as: triple viral (measles, mumps and rubella), chickenpox, BCG, pentavalent, Pneumo 10, rotavirus, meningo C, meningo ACWY, chickenpox , hepatitis A and B, yellow fever, DTP (diphtheria, tetanus and pertussis), double adult, influenza and HPV.

– Toxicological Emergency Laboratory (LET);
– Urgency and Emergency Regulatory Complex (Crue);
– Poison Control Center (CCI).

The 24h Day Hospitals, the Psychosocial Care Centers (Caps) III and the Coordination of Health and Protection of Domestic Animals (Cosap) will work for internal demands.

The Zoonosis Surveillance Division (DVZ) and the Epidemiological Surveillance Division (DVE) will be on duty.

SOCIAL ASSISTANCE

The service provided by the social assistance network on the São Paulo Anniversary holiday (25) will be as follows:

Open: Institutional Reception Service for Children and Adolescents (SAICA), Specialized Social Approach Service (SEAS), Reception Centers, Vacancy Center, Coexistence Centers for Pop Rua, Repúblicas, Casa Lar, Long Stay Institute for the Elderly ( ILPI), Inclusive Residence and Home Food Service for the Elderly.

Closed: Supervision of Social Assistance (SAS), Reference Center for Social Assistance (CRAS), Specialized Reference Center for Social Assistance (CREAS), POP Centers, Legal Protection Nucleus (NPJ), Center for Children and Adolescents (CCA) , Youth Center (CJ), Center for Social and Productive Development for Adolescents, Young People and Adults (CEDESP), Coexistence Center for the Elderly (NCI), Support Center for Social Inclusion for People with Disabilities (NAISPD), Day Center for the Elderly (CDI), Reference Center for the Elderly (CRECI), School Circus, Family Social Assistance Service (SASF), Intergenerational Coexistence Center (CCInter), Women’s Defense and Coexistence Center (CDCM), Protection Service Support for Children and Adolescents Victims of Violence (SPVV), Measures Service of Socio-Educational Activities in Open Environment (MSE-MA), School Restaurant and the headquarters of the Cozy Family.

DISABLED PERSON

The Intermediation Center in Pounds (CIL) of the Municipal Secretariat for Persons with Disabilities (SMPED) will operate normally this Wednesday (25).

The service is 24 hours. The equipment mediates communication between people with hearing impairments and the deaf in any public service installed in the city of São Paulo.

The Mobile Paraoficina will not provide services on the 25th.

HUMAN RIGHTS AND CITIZENSHIP

The equipment of the Municipal Department of Human Rights and Citizenship that will operate normally on the holiday will be: Casa da Mulher Brasileira, Estação Vidas at the Júlio Prestes Center, and the Reference Center for Children and Adolescents.

The Tutelary Councils will work on an on-call basis, through the telephones available on the SMDHC website.

The following facilities will remain closed: Reference Centers for the Promotion of Racial Equality, Reference Center and Assistance for Immigrants, Reference Centers, Citizenship Centers, Outposts of the Subway and the Sacomã Bus Terminal for assisting women, Promotion Center and Defense of the Rights of the Homeless Population, Social and Productive Inclusion Services (Recifram and Reviravolta), Cultural Center for the Elderly, LGBTI Citizenship Centers, Ombudsman and Disappeared People.

SUBPREFECTURES

Funeral services will have the hours of the 22 cemeteries unchanged, from 7am to 6pm.

The Service Squares of the 32 Subprefectures will be closed on the holiday on Wednesday (25).

Ecopoints will be open from 6am to 6pm. The Composting Yards will be open from 2 pm to 10 pm.

TRAFFIC AND PUBLIC TRANSPORT

VEHICLE ROTATION

The Municipal Vehicle Rotation will be suspended, both for cars and heavy vehicles, this Wednesday.

Due to the holiday, the other existing restrictions in the city will also be released: Maximum Restriction Zone for Truck Circulation (ZMRC) and the Maximum Charter Restriction Zone (ZMRF). Traffic will also be released on exclusive bus lanes.

The paid rotary parking service on the public road (Zona Azul) will operate according to existing signage. The activation schedules are displayed on the regulatory signs of each location.

TRANSPORT BY BUS

On the anniversary of São Paulo, service at sales points in bus terminals and Expresso Tiradentes will be from 6 am to 10 pm.

The Jabaquara, Santana and SPTrans Central Post stores will be closed and will return to normal service on Thursday, January 26th.

SINGLE TICKET TOP-UP

One of the most sought-after services at service stations is ticket recharge, which can be done through applications.

After purchasing the credits, recharge the card at the automatic machines or validators inside the vehicles.

REVENUE

The Revenue Service Center (CAF) will not work on Wednesday (25). It reopens on Thursday (26) with service from 10 am to 4 pm, but prior scheduling is required via the link eventosf.prefeitura.sp.gov.br/.

LABOR

The equipment managed by the Secretariat for Economic Development and Labor will have a differentiated service during the holiday.

The units of the Support Center for Work and Entrepreneurship (Cate), the Teia coworking network and the posts of the São Paulo Development Agency (Ade Sampa) will be closed on the 25th, returning to service on Thursday (26).

The Professor Makiguti School units, in the east and north regions, will not be serviced on the 25th. However, the public can use the sports court, skate park and green area, from 9am to 6pm.

EDUCATION

The Unified Educational Centers (CEUs) will be open from 8 am to 6 pm.

SPORT

The Sports Centers normally work during the usual holiday hours for each equipment.

MUNICIPAL PARKS

On the anniversary holiday of the city of São Paulo (01/25), natural and urban municipal parks will operate normally. The timetables for each unit are available on the website of the Secretariat for the Green and the Environment (SVMA).

The services of the Wild Fauna Division (DFS) at CeMaCAS – Center for the Management and Conservation of Wild Animals will operate from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm and the telephone service will be from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. The DFS unit in Ibirapuera Park will be closed.

The Coordination of Environmental Education / Open University of the Environment and Culture of Peace (UMAPAZ) and the municipal nurseries will not have office hours.

The Carmo Planetarium will have a special program this holiday, it will be open from 9am to 5pm and will feature the following attractions:

  • 9:30 am to 12:00 pm: Astronomical Walk
  • 12:00 to 13:00: Planetarium Session “Window to the Universe”
  • 2 pm to 3 pm: Planetarium Session “The Luna Show at the Planetarium”
  • 3pm to 5pm: Workshop “Rocket Launch”
  • 17:00 to 18:00: Citizen Session of Planetarium “The Darkness of the Night”
