Political persecution: conservative Brazilian Journalist Guilherme Fiuza is censored by Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube

Guilherme Fiuza was censored by Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube on Tuesday night (03). Currently, the journalist is a columnist for Revista Oeste. He lost access to all platforms.

The journalist’s profile on Twitter appears the following message: “Account retained in response to a legal demand.” Already on Instagram, it appears that “this page is not available.”

For Revista Oeste, one of the largest conservative meGuilherme Fiuza stated that he did not receive any judicial notification. The real reason for the overthrow of the accounts is not known.

Lately, several profiles have been suspended at the behest of the Justice of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), Alexandre de Moraes.

Last month, Twitter took down the accounts of commentators Rodrigo Constantino, Paulo Figueiredo and Fernando Conrado. They claim “judicial determination.”

In a note sent to them, the social network declared that it complied with the legislation related to “principles, guarantees, rights and duties for the use of the internet in Brazil.”

Twitter also said that the court order that resulted in the blocking of the profiles is secret.
