In his speech, the politician thanked former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) for his help in his re-election – which took place in the first round – and spoke of “eternal gratitude”. “I want to give a special thanks to my party, the Liberal Party, and to President Bolsonaro, who helped me a lot along this path. Then, Castro signaled a possible partnership with President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT), since there will be “new challenges that require dialogue with the federal government in the next four years”.
