Brazilian government accounts register deficit of US$2.8 billion in November

The Brazilian Government accounts recorded a deficit of R$14.7 billion (US$2.8 billion) in November, ending two consecutive months of positive figures and representing the fourth worst November since 1997, the National Treasury reported today.

The public accounts, which include the National Treasury, Social Security, and the Central Bank and do not take into account interest payments on public debt, mainly returned a negative result due to an increase in expenses.
