Binance announces new Finance Minister Haddad’s nephew as CEO in Brazil

Binance, the world’s largest crypto broker, has quickly adapted to the new realities in Brazil.

Success in the Lula da Silva government will probably come primarily to those who, in one way or another, ‘befriend’ representatives of this government.

This was the case in the last Lula da Silva government and will be no different this time.

This Friday (23), Binance announced Guilherme Haddad Nazar as the company’s new CEO. He has been with the company since September of this year.

Guilherme Nazar is the nephew of the future Minister of Finance, Fernando Haddad (PT).

Nazar has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Escola Superior de Propaganda e Marketing in São Paulo.

Before Binance, he held leadership positions in many organizations, most recently as Vice President and General Manager at Loft, a technology company focused on the real estate sector, following management positions at Uber, most recently as Chief Operating Officer for Brazil.

At Uber, Nazar helped establish and expand the company’s structure and operations as a new business model in the early stages of the organization.

“Binance works collaboratively across all the markets we operate in so that we see crypto and blockchain becoming more popular and improving the lives of millions of people.

Brazil is one of the top ten markets for Binance, and building dedicated teams allow us to provide more and better-personalized services to our local users,” said Nazar.

“We will continue to invest and contribute to developing the blockchain and crypto ecosystem in the country,” added Haddad’s nephew.
