Brazilian Spring: Letter calls on armed forces to take position on elections

The video of a group of ‘Brazilian Spring’-protesters reading the letter establishing a deadline for the Armed Forces to make a statement is circulating on social networks.

Vast crowds are camped in front of barracks to ask for the military’s help regarding the outcome of the second round of the elections.

“We, the people, under the aegis of the sovereignty that belongs to us, will adopt measures with national impact,” says a man, surrounded by protesters, among them indigenous people and women.

The act took place on Wednesday, Dec. 7, in the Chamber.

The date set by the protesters is Dec. 10.
