Petrobras announces reduction in gasoline and diesel prices

As of tomorrow, Dec. 7, the average sale price of Petrobras’ diesel A to the distributors will drop from R$4.89 to R$4.49 per liter, a reduction of R$0.40 per liter.

Considering the mandatory blend of 90% diesel A and 10% biodiesel for the composition of the diesel sold at the service stations, Petrobras’ portion in the price to the consumer will be, on average, R$4.04 per liter sold at the pump.

For A gasoline, Petrobras’ average sale price to distributors will drop from R$3.28 to R$3.08 per liter, a reduction of R$0.20 per liter.

Considering the mandatory blend of 73% A gasoline and 27% anhydrous ethanol for the composition of the gasoline sold at the service stations, Petrobras’ portion in the price for the consumer will be, on average, R$2.25 per liter sold at the pump.

These reductions follow the evolution of the reference prices and are consistent with Petrobras’ pricing practices, which seek to balance its prices with the market, but without passing the short-term volatility of the prices and the exchange rate onto domestic prices.
