Tickets for the 2023 parade of Rio de Janeiro samba schools begin to be sold

The Independent League of Samba Schools of Rio de Janeiro (Liesa) started today (Dec. 5) with the sale of tickets for the parades of the samba schools of Rio de Janeiro’s particular group in February 2023.

Sales are being made through the Total Acesso website.

There will be no physical tickets for the bleachers and chairs for the first time. Those who buy the ticket will have to download the Rio Carnaval application to access, starting in January, the digital ticket that will allow them to enter the Sambadrome.

The schools of the particular group parade in two days. The first night of parades begins at 9:30 pm on Feb. 19 (Sunday) with Império Serrano and ends at dawn on Monday, Feb. 20, with Mangueira.

Also performing that day are Grande Rio, Mocidade, Unidos da Tijuca, and Salgueiro.

The second night (Monday 20th) starts with Paraíso do Tuiuti (9:30 pm), followed by Portela, Vila Isabel, Imperatriz, Beija-Flor, and Viradouro.

To watch the parades on these two days, ticket prices vary from R$230 (US$44), for the numbered seat Sector 12 (dispersion), to R$300, for the special bleachers of Sectors 6 to 8 (middle of the Sambódromo).

Students, seniors, teachers, and people with disabilities pay half-entry.

The first six runners-up for Carnaval 2023 return to the Sambódromo on Feb. 25 (Saturday).

For this day, the values vary from R$ 160 to R$ 180. It is also possible to buy half-entry.
