Indigenous people protest in Brasilia’s ‘Three Powers’ square this Sunday against rigged elections

A protest against fraudulent election results was held this Sunday morning (Dec. 4) at the ‘Three Powers’ Square in Brasilia.

The actions were led by a group of indigenous people who question the legitimacy of the ballot boxes and criticize the mysterious release of Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva from prison (PT, progressive-globalist) executed by the Brazilian Supreme Court STF.

In videos circulating on social networks, it is possible to see a group of Indians inside a fence, with hundreds of people around them.

In front of the group of Indians are police troops armed with shields, apparently preventing the Indians from going ahead with their protest.

Despite the poor tone, one can understand the Indian at the microphone saying that the presidential election was “delegitimized” by the armed forces report, which pointed to weaknesses in ballot box security.

Although the protests against Lula da Silva are concentrated at the Army Headquarters in Brasilia, where hundreds of people have been camped for more than a month, the Indians have begun to hold acts in other locations in the federal capital.

The demonstrators are divided about where they should stay.

One part defends that no one should leave the HQ, while another says that they should go to the Esplanade of the Ministries to protest in front of the National Congress or the Planalto Palace during the day and return to the camp to sleep.

On Friday (Dec. 2), a group of Kayapó Indians held an anti-Lula protest inside Brasilia International Airport.

Shouting, “Lula, thief, your place is in prison”, the group held signs calling for “help” and carried arrows and staff.

The group arrived at the airport around 1 pm and stayed there for about an hour.

The Federal and Military Police, the Fire Department, and airport security guards were called, but no incident was recorded.

On Saturday (Dec. 3), the Indians, accompanied by other people, went to Park Shopping, located in Guará (DF).

They occupied the central square of the mall wearing green and yellow clothing and holding placards with phrases like “World, Brazil asks for help” and “our Justice is corrupted”.

Another group also protested at Brasília Shopping, located in the central area of Plano Piloto.
