Counting of Brazilian election results begins today Sunday at 5 pm Brasilia time zone

The counting of the results of the 2022 election today, Sunday (02), begins at 5 pm in the Brasilia time zone.

According to the Superior Electoral Court (TSE), the counting should start at the same time for all positions since the voting hours have been unified throughout the country; that is, they start at 8 am and end at 5 pm.

According to the TSE, voting also ends at 5 pm, but voters still in line after that time can cast their ballots.

In previous elections, the count’s announcement began after voting hours ended in Acre, two hours behind the Brasilia time zone.

Anyone can follow the count in real-time through the Results app. The platform will be available as a web tool and as an app in the App Store or Google Play.

The TSE states requests for the candidate’s name or the disputed position can be made.

The request will include the names of those elected or who will run in the second round of voting, the election court said.

In addition to the voting results, the attendance rate, number of abstentions, number of valid, blank, and invalid votes, and the total number of sections can be tracked in real time.
