Madrid Forum warns of the threat Lula da Silva poses to Brazil: “He represents plunder and destruction”

Madrid Forum (Foro Madrid), the international conservative alliance, promoted by the Disenso Foundation in defense of freedom and democracy in the Iberosphere, has warned of the consequences of a possible victory of Lula da Silva.

He represents “looting and destruction” in the elections to be held this Sunday in Brazil.

In a new report, “Panorama País”, he points out that “Lula da Silva’s strategy to regain power is a damaging and dangerous maneuver for Brazil’s democracy”.

“It puts the country’s freedom and its citizens at risk. The ways he uses to get to power, defended by his militants, professes a narrative between good and evil where he occupies the role of a messianic figure and the only voice capable of bringing the country back together,” it argues.

The report reviews the multiple corruption cases for which he has been denounced and convicted since 2004, when the first significant scandal incriminating him and the Workers’ Party broke out and recalls that during the governments of Lula da Silva and Dilma Rousseff, Brazil was the scene of “a series of scandals that weakened confidence in institutions and generated an unprecedented crisis.”

“Parliament ended up being used as an instrument for buying votes to fulfill the government’s interests,” it adds.

In this sense, he adds that if he wins, Lula da Silva, founder of the São Paulo Forum, would have “the necessary public machinery to escalate a path towards the destruction of the country” and the possibility of using his influence to interfere “wherever he deems necessary”.
