Hurricane Fiona has left the entire territory of Puerto Rico without power, reports US online portal PowerOutage.us.
“As of 1 pm EDT (5 pm GMT) on September 18, 2022, 100% of Puerto Rico is without power due to Hurricane Fiona,” the portal wrote on its Twitter account.

Tropical Storm Fiona developed into a Category 1 hurricane early Sunday morning with winds of up to 130 kilometers per hour and approached the island of Puerto Rico.
The island’s governor, Pedro Pierluisi, ordered drought conditions at 6 pm local time (10 pm GMT).

Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport in San Juan has suspended its flight operations.
According to forecasts, Fiona will hit the Dominican Republic on September 19, northern Haiti, and the Turks and Caicos Islands, threatening heavy rains.
By Tuesday, it could threaten the southern tip of the Bahamas.
